Washtenaw County Voters take a stand a2buzz.org was instrumental in exposing the behavior of Timothy Connors - Washtenaw County Circuit Court judge. Mrs. Gravel Henkel registered as a write in candidate on Nov 3rd, 2006 for Circuit Court Judge position. More than a 1200 voters wrote her name and voted for her on the ballot. With 4 days of campaigning we could only educate a small percentage of Washtenaw County voters. This shows that once Washtenaw County voters were educated as to what is going on in Timothy Connors' Court, they overwhelmingly voted against him. With more time and education we are confident that Washtenaw county voters will in time remove Connors from the bench.
We thank all the voters who exercised their right to vote. There has been a lot of talk about Affirmative action..... May be it is time to ask if U of M awards free degrees ?

January 2001 : State of Michigan complained that Ruth Hamstra had lied on her application stating that she had a MSW degree from University of Michigan
April 2001 : Ruth Hamstra pleads guilty to the charges in the complaint.
July 2003 : Ruth Hamstra's guilty pleading is exposed in Judge Connors Court in Washtenaw County.

In the hearings I attended in this matter, I observed Judge Connors to be rude, constantly interrupting, inattentive, rolling his eyes, sighing, yelling, avoiding eye contact, staring out the window. I was shocked. There was a clear sense of bias in Judge Connors demeanor. I have covered federal, civil and criminal court cases for more than a decade. I have never witnessed such a mean and biased behavior in any Judge before."
